These charts are excerpted from those in the book, Ogle and Bothal, Compiled and written by Sir Henry A. Ogle Baronet, completed 1902

There is conflict with certain dates between "Ogle and Bothal" and "Living Descendants of Blood Royal" and I have used the date listed that seems most likely correct, based on birth dates of parents and children etc.  The tables have been revised to include these data.

5 Edw. I.  De Banco. Wm. de Dene, parson of the church of Whalton, against John Oggel, Robert, bailiff of Oggel and others, who had by force and arms carried away the corn belonging to 'he said William at Oggel.

Cir. 1330. Exch. R. Accts. Gilbert and Henry de Oggle occur in the account of things bought in a previous reign, apparently for the Scotch war.

N.D. (Cir. 1205). Grant by Robert de Cramavilla, heir of Constance de Crammavilla, to Gilbert de Oggel, of that moiety of the vill of Burgedun, which Constance his mother had granted for his homage and service, to be free of such service, paying yearly to the ward of Newcastle, 6d.

1347. Agreement between Sir Philip de Somervill and Robert de Oggle concerning Saltwick, which Robert holds of Philip.

1399, May 12th. Grant by Thomas Gray, lord of Wark, to Robert de Ogle and to Maud, his daughter, wife of Robert of Sammersland in Lowick.

1517, April 18th. Grant by Robert Ogle, lord of Ogle and Botthall, to William Ogle, his brother, of the vill of Hebburn, lands in Tritlyngton and Southdisshington, a tenement in North Middilton, the towre of Cokyll Parke, in exchange for lands in the tower and vills of Great Tossan and Twysill. William Ogle of Cawsee Parke is appointed attorney.

1528, May 22nd. Grant by same to Sir William Ogle, knight, his brother, of lands in Newham in exchange for lands in Warton. George Ogle appointed attorney.

1576, June 2nd. Bond by Cuthbert, lord Ogle, of Bothall, to James Ogle of same. Witnesses: James Ogle, William Duxfelde, Rauffe Ogle, Percivall Ogle, C. Oggle, etc.

1621, February 12th. ,"Writ to deliver seisin to John Ogle, son and heir of James Ogle, Esq., who died
March 1st, 1613, of the manor of Causey and Cawsey Parke, and lands in Earsdon, Felton, Tritlington, Earsdon Hill in the parish of Bottelphe, and the-forest of Felton.

1630, December 4th. Receipt to John Ogle, of Cawsey Parke, for £13 6s. 8d. in discharge of a composition, for compounding the fines for not attending and receiving knighthood at the coronation of Charles I.
 

HISTORICAL MANUSCRIPTS, BEVERLEY PAPERS

1535. " It is ordered that neither Sir Raff Elleker nor one Oswyn Ogle, son-in-law to the said Sir Raff, shall at any time be chosen one of the said 12 governors of the said town."
 

NOTES

A tablet in Whalton church has been erected to the Rev. Edward Chaloner Ogle, Sophia, his wife, John Savile, their son, and Mary, their daughter, and another to the Lady Lilian Ogle.

George of Harnham was buried at Bolam on the 15th of July, 1731; his son John was baptised there in 1702, and his daughter Mary in 1710.

Percy J Ogle married Eva Glanville, and had issue Allan, Vera, Vivian, and Eileen.
